Virat Kohli became the first cricketer to register 3000 T20I, IND vs ENG during 2nd T20I 2021 feat

Indian captain Virat Kohli regained his mojo in the second T20I against England as he scored a match-winning half-century. The talisman batsman beat England bowlers fiercely throughout the park and scored 73 runs from 49 balls. While Kohli’s talent propelled India to a six-wicket victory, his brilliant innings added another feather to his already brilliant hat-trick. With a winning six, Kohli became the first player to complete 3000 runs in the T20I. He needed 72 runs to achieve the milestone ahead of the series. Although the 32-year-old ducked in the first match, he made a stunning comeback and reached the milestone in his 87th T20 match. Virat Kohli has indeed redefined batting in T20 since his debut in international cricket in the format in June 2010. The talisman batsman can score at a fast pace and that too without much risk. While he may not be known for hitting big sixes, unlike other T20 dashers, his temperamental continuity sets him apart from the others. In fact, he is the only player in the world who currently has an average of over 50 in T20Is among batsmen with over 100 runs. His batting of 26 fifties is the highest for any batsman. Ishaan Kishan became the second Indian batsman after Ajinkya Rahane to put a fifty on his T20 debut.

First time to score 3000 !!

Meanwhile, the five-match series is now 1–1 on par, and the two teams have plenty to play for the remaining three matches. Notably, England have not lost the T20I series since June 2018, while India would not like to face defeat in front of their home audience. Therefore, fans should handle themselves to watch some exciting competition.
