Manchester City react to win Premier League 2020-21 Champions, Kevin de Bruyne, Sergio Aguero and other City Players League titles

Manchester City were crowned English Premier League 2020-21 champions after losing to Manchester United at home to Leicester City. United lost 2–1 against Leicester after manager Ole Gunnar Solaskar and made 10 changes in the opening XI. Their defeat ended City’s wait for a third league title in four seasons. Pep Guardiola’s side are now 10 points clear of United and have held the title with three games remaining. City players, including Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero, reacted to the title win. Forced to play three matches in five days, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskar made 10 changes to the team to beat Aston Villa 3–1 over the weekend. Against the other side of the United Nations, Luke Thomas put Leicester City ahead with a thunderbolt in the 10th minute. But United were back four minutes later when Mason Greenwood cut through a wall of Leicester City defenders and found the net to equalize. Kogler Soyuncu then added the most to bring Leicester’s lead back from a corner in the 66th minute. After the Manchester City EPL 2020-21 title, Pep Guardiola says, ‘This is a season like no other, proud to be the manager here’.

Their goal celebrated as City were declared champions as the final whistle moved to Old Trafford in a combined defeat. He was awaited by Guardiola after Chelsea and United’s 3–1 win over Aston Villa. But the delay seemed only temporary and it was inevitable that the city would pick up the title. Their wait finally ended at Old Trafford. “One and One”, Kevin De Bruyne declared the champion on Twitter after City, while Aguero wrote “Proud of this team.” Take a look at the players’ reactions after receiving the title.

The trophy was Guardiola’s third Premier League title with City and second this season after winning the League Cup last month. Guardiola and City will chase an unprecedented treble when they play Chelsea in the final of the UEFA Champions League later this month.
