Is it that surprising that Aaron Rodgers both got a tattoo related to astrology and doesn’t think you’ll understand it? Not really, to be honest.
If the masses have learned one thing about the 38-year-old Packers quarterback over the last year, it’s that he marches to the beat of his own drum. So yes, he’s got a tattoo related to astrology, and no, he doesn’t think you’ll understand it.
“If you’re not a student of astrology,” Rodgers recently told reporters, “there’s gonna be some weird things in there.”
The elements of Rodgers’ ink include two lions staring at each other, an eye, and some line-work that — not being students of astrology — could be challenging to interpret. Folks can likely trust that Rodgers, a Sagittarius, knows what he’s doing here.
It’s been an, err, busy offseason for Rodgers, who arrived at training camp last week dressed as Nicolas Cage’s character from “Con Air,” and split from fiancée Shailene Woodley this past spring. The tattoo could also be linked to his rumored new girlfriend Blu, with whom he shares a tattoo artist.
Rodgers initially revealed his first “deep and meaningful” tattoo in early July, posting on Instagram at the time: “There’s a deep and meaningful story and connection to absolutely each element of this art piece, and I’ll share a little more about that one day. For now, just thankful for @balazsbercsenyi and his patience and artistry.”
With all of this going on, Rodgers has a lot on his plate as he enters his 18th season, though, at this point, he’s used to working through distractions. After turning in an All-Pro season amid the COVID-19 vaccine controversy last year, it’s hard to see any of this being much of an issue for the veteran.
