Jets get good news after Zach Wilson knee surgery scare

It’s the best-case scenario for Zach Wilson and the Jets.

The Jets QB underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Tuesday, with the process yielding no surprises and leaving Week 1 in play, The Post’s Brian Costello confirmed.

The Jets aren’t planning to rush Wilson back, however, with backup Joe Flacco the starter in the season opener against the Ravens — his former team — on Sept. 11

The second-year quarterback injured his right knee on a scramble in the first quarter of the Jets’ 24-21 preseason win over the Eagles. There was concern he suffered a season-ending ACL tear, but those fears were allayed on Tuesday following a trimming of his meniscus.

Wilson was originally expected to miss 2-4 weeks.
