Accolades for female entrepreneurs

Creative business community platform, Bellafricana has recognised the contributions of well-deserving members of its community in the maiden edition of the ‘Bellafricana Recognition Event’ held recently.

The event, which was held virtually, had members of the community and guests; awarding 10 female creatives and entrepreneurs in the Bellafricana community.

Founded by Bukky Asehinde, Bellafricana is a tech-enabled community that provides a platform for creative entrepreneurs in the fashion, arts & craft, beauty, home & living, food produce & snacks industry, to gain visibility, increase sales, have the right business support and structure that gives them the capacity to grow their business.

The Bellafricana Recognition event 2022 was the true definition of impact for many creative small businesses as it featured the contributions of several distinguished guest speakers, capped with a celebration of well-deserving community members, providing a platform for the Bellafricana family members to learn, share, and prepare their businesses for the upcoming year.

The first day of the event was filled with so much insight and excitement as Michelle Raymond, a certified coach, trainer and award-winning international TEDx speaker spoke on the topic “The Psychology of Being a Business Owner and How To Deal With Heat.”

She broke down the strategies to raise credibility and visibility as a business owner using the ASAP method, which includes Association, Speaking, Awards and Publications.

It was such an impactful session and has been described by members of the community as “powerful, uplifting, energising, encouraging.”

The second day of the event also featured another power-packed session anchored by Bukola Adenuga, founder of Ailakoko, as she revealed that business owners need to learn, unlearn and relearn new things daily. She spoke on the struggles entrepreneurs go through when relocating to another country as well as how business owners can leverage more on social media platforms to grow.
