Osun State Governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has asked for the support of the United States of America for the five-point agenda initiative his government plan to implement.

Adeleke stated this while receiving the US Consular General, William Stevens, and his team who had paid him a courtesy call.

He declared his intention to run a pro-development government and promised to establish a direct partnership with international development agencies, noting that the state needed all the support to fast-track her developmental plans.

A statement by the spokesperson to the Governor-elect,  Olawale Rasheed, obtained in Osogbo on Thursday, quoting Adeleke read in parts, “I will work hard to improve the education and health sector while taking care of infrastructures, roads, water and others. We will boost the state economy and develop the tourism industry and enhance the tech space. We intend to embark on an agro-industrial programme to create jobs and wealth.

“I will forge a close partnership with the United States Government to achieve strong performance in my five-point agenda. We will open our hands to partnership in education, technology, health, women, youth, digital economy and others.”

Responding, Stevens said the team was in Osun State in a display of strong interest of the United States government in Nigeria’s democratic growth and development.
