The Catalans took an early lead through Robert Lewandowski and continued their dominance by adding two more goals before halftime, with Alejandro Balde and Lewandowski finding the net. Jules Kounde extended the lead at the start of the second half, while Javier Puado and Joselu scored consolation goals for Espanyol.

This triumph marks Barcelona’s 28th win of a remarkably dominant campaign under the guidance of Xavi Hernandez. Despite facing tough competition from European champions Real Madrid and a resurgent Atletico Madrid side, Barcelona has made the La Liga title race appear effortless, securing the championship with four games to spare.
