Nigerian-born New Zealand-based UFC Middleweight boxing champion, Israel Adesanya, has disclosed that corruption is what he detests most about the country.
Adesanya, 33, said this while speaking on a Hotboxin podcast, on Tuesday.
The PUNCH reported on Sunday that Adesanya defeated Alex Pereira to reclaim the middleweight crown at the UFC 287 in Miami, United States of America.
He, however, expressed his love and passion for fellow Nigerians, saying, “I love my people,” adding, “There is a lot of red tape in Nigeria.
“Nigeria is a very corrupt place. I love my people, but it is just that the government, everyone is finding ways to siphon money.”
