Barcelona secured a 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid at Camp Nou in LaLiga, ending their back-to-back goalless draws and reviving their hopes of clinching the title.

The hosts dominated possession but had few chances to threaten Jan Oblak, while Antoine Griezmann came closest to scoring for Atletico with a curling effort that hit the underside of the crossbar.

Angel Correa also tested Marc-Andre ter Stegen with a shot from outside the box, but it was Ferran Torres who scored the decisive goal for Barcelona with a strike into the bottom right corner, following a pass from Raphinha one minute before half-time.

Barcelona continued to push for a second goal in the second half, with Raphinha missing an opportunity and Gavi hitting a low strike that narrowly went wide of the left-hand post. Robert Lewandowski also had a chance to secure the win but wasted it by going for goal himself instead of passing to a teammate who had an open goal to aim at.

Despite the lack of further goals, the victory moved Barcelona 11 points ahead of Real Madrid with eight games left to play, putting them in a strong position to challenge for the title.
