Nigerian striker Peter Olayinka joins Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade

Red Star Belgrade have secured the services of Nigerian forward, Peter Olayinka, in an impressive transfer move.

Olayinka, who previously played for Slavia Prague in the Czech Republic, has now joined the Serbian giants on a free transfer, signing a three-year contract

Olayinka’s decision to join Red Star Belgrade marks an exciting new chapter in his career, as he embarks on a fresh challenge with a club known for its rich history and success.

Speaking to Red Star’s website after his unveiling, he said, “I already had the opportunity to visit the stadium and I am delighted with Maracana. It’s great to be in Zvezda, I feel great, everyone welcomed me and I can’t wait to play.”

“I watched several Zvezda matches during the spring, I saw that we have a lot of quality players and a great team. Coming to Zvezda is a big step for my career.

“I am aware that it is a step forward, and change, although it is not easy, goes with the job of a football player. This is a new challenge that I have set before myself.”

Olayinka who has four caps for the Super Eagles scored 49 goals in 178 appearance for Slavia Prague.
