The physicians at the 57th annual general meeting of the Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of Nigeria held in Kano State, stressed the need for improved health workers’ training and capacity building to ensure that high-quality care is being provided to women during pregnancy and childbirth.

The conference, which attracted over 300 maternal and child health professionals across the country, focused on the current state of maternal health in Nigeria and how to address challenges affecting them.
