Sophia Momodu apologises for ‘insensitive’ Davido’s birthday post

Davido‘s first baby mama Sophia Momodu has tendered an apology for the singer’s birthday post she made on her daughter Imade Adeleke’s behalf.

On Monday while sending birthday greetings to her daughter’s father, Momodu shared a photo of the Afrobeats singer with his children including his deceased son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

But the photo didn’t augur well with many social media users who chided her for choosing that exact one which had the singer’s late son.

Others slammed her for even making a birthday post to the singer, especially she didn’t celebrate the late Ifeanyi on his birthday or posted to mourn his passing.

Amid the call out and blasting by social media users for the said birthday post, the mother of one on Tuesday apologised noting she never intended to make an insensitive post.

She said: “I realise that the earlier post may come across as insensitive and I sincerely apologise, as that was not the intention.

“Imade deeply loves her father and all her siblings, and as a mother, I’m doing my best to guide her through the difficult emotion of grief from the loss of her brother whilst trying to celebrate her father’s birthday.

“I ask for your consideration and hope that you all can be understanding during these times.”
