We will produce digital graduates – OAUSTECH

The Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa,  Ondo State, has said it plans to produce graduates that will compete with their pairs across the world.

The Vice-Chancellor, of the university, Prof. Emmanuel Ologunorisa, stated that the vision of his administration was to produce bilingual graduates with 21st-century skills.

He said this at the 12th matriculation of the institution and no fewer than 1,500 students took the admission oath.

He said he envisioned a university that would be first among equals, most preferred, and making significant contributions to society.

He also charged the newly matriculated students to key into the vision and mission of the university which read, “to be a leading internationally recognised university raising a corpus of technologically competent individuals, able to respond to the needs of their environment in a technologically driven economy, the mission is to provide sound scientific, technological and professional training, identify them within the context of community and national needs and sustainable development.”

However, the don urged the students to shun all acts that were against the rules and regulations of the institution.

“You need to be regular in attendance at lectures, carry out all your assignments, and shun deviant behaviours and other vices that can expose you and others to danger. This university has zero tolerance for cultism, and any form of hooliganism, and corruption.”

“Show respect to your colleagues and staff in the university to make your day fruitful and productive. Be modest and decent in your dressing and approach to issues and adhere strictly to the rules and regulations enshrined in the students’ handbook, “ the VC said.
