US sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson was kicked off an American Airlines flight after an altercation with a flight attendant.
The 23-year-old athlete claimed the flight attendant, whom she identified as ‘John’, disrespected her while she was on the phone before take-off.
Richardson posted a video of herself in her seat before addressing the flight attendant.
“Before the video, this gentleman asked me to end a mobile phone call, I did,” Richardson claimed in her video.

“I told him I didn’t like the tone he used with me. After that, while he was standing in front of me doing security protocols, he continued to lean over to look at my phone.
“He asked to see that my phone was in aeroplane mode at the moment. He demanded that I show it to him, which I did in front of him”.
Subsequently, the American, who was urged to stop filming, continued, “I’m filming myself, but you were in my video. You’re harassing me right now, so I think you should stop”.
With the atmosphere growing increasingly heated, Richardson also confronted several passengers and was eventually escorted off the plane, amid shouting.
Applause was heard as Sha’Carri Richardson exited the aeroplane.
