Police arrest Ant-Man star, Jonathan Majors, for assaulting woman

Popular American actor, Jonathan Majors, has been arrested over the alleged assault of a woman in New York.

Law enforcement agents revealed that the unnamed victim reported Majors, on Saturday, alleging that the actor attacked her during an argument.

The woman was said to have visible injuries, including a deep cut behind her ear, and bruise marks on her face, TMZ reports.

Sources from law enforcement also disclosed that the alleged victim was Jonathan’s girlfriend, and they had an altercation inside a taxi while returning home from a Brooklyn bar.

She was said to have confronted the actor after seeing exchange of text messages between him and another woman.

This resulted in Majors, allegedly slapping and choking her in the vehicle.

Majors was promptly arrested, as the police decided that there was enough evidence for probable cause. He was charged for strangulation, assault and harassment.

The accused’s representative told TMZ that “he’s done nothing wrong,” and his team was in the process of clearing his name.

The actor starred in Marvel’s recent release, ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’, as well as Micheal B. Jordan’s ‘Creed III.’
