Pharmaceutical firm promotes school sports

Dexa Medica, an Indonesian pharmaceutical company, has stated that it will sponsor the inter-house sports competitions of three Nigerian schools.

It stated in a statement that will do this through its Nigerian distribution partner Orange Drugs Ltd. According to the firm, the competitions will be held from March 28-31, 2023, at Army Day Secondary School, Sokoto; Ilorin Grammar School, Ilorin; and Kanmi Group of Schools, Ayobo, Lagos.

The firm stated that youth sports activities align with its objective of ensuring that consumers live a healthy and pain-free lifestyle.

The Country Manager, Dexa Medica Nigeria and West Africa, producers of Boska, Mr Dhanang Riyo Anggoro, said, “Dexa Medica is very passionate about the well-rounded education of Nigerian school children.

“The company via the ‘Boska Cup’ platform, sponsors inter-house sports competitions across various schools pan-Nigeria, with a particular interest in football. This is further laced with motivational speeches and career advice by qualified facilitators at such events. Five editions have been held so far this year in different states across Nigeria with plans to do many more in 2023.

“It would be recalled that Dexa Medica, makers of Boska, started operations in Nigeria in 1995, and has since then, become a force to reckon with in the pharmaceutical industry in the country.”

The statement further listed the firm’s portfolio of products which includes Boska, Konos, Stimuno, and Herbacough.

It added, “Dexa Medica is committed to the support of sporting activities in Nigerian schools, as the company believes sport is an essential ingredient in the education of Nigerian children, as it practically teaches them the values of teamwork, self-discipline, hard work, and perseverance.”
