‘He won’t finish at Al Nassr’, Rudi Garcia says Cristiano Ronaldo will return to European football

Despite Cristiano Ronaldo recently signing the most lucrative contract in club football with Al Nassr, coach Rudi Garcia thinks he will still return to Europe to continue his career.

After he and Manchester United mutually agreed to terminate his contract at the end of 2022, Ronaldo left Europe to sign for Al Nassr.

Given he’ll be 40 by the time it comes to an end, it’s widely expected that he’ll retire at his new club, but manager Rudi Garcia isn’t so sure.

The Frenchman thinks that the forward will play for a European club again before he hangs up his boots.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is a positive addition as he helps disperse defenders,” he told reporters.

“He’s one of the best players in the world. He won’t finish his career at Al Nassr, he’ll go back to Europe.”

Ronaldo has failed to find the back of the net in his first two appearances for Al Nassr, who were knocked out of the cup last time out against Al Ittihad.

Garcia pointed out how Ronaldo’s failure to take a chance in the first half was behind his side’s elimination, capping off a frustrating game in which the Portugal international was relentlessly taunted by opposition fans.
