Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold marked his 50th Premier League assist of his career during their 6-1 win against Leeds on Monday night.
Despite struggling this season alongside most of his team, the England right-back was in top form at Elland Road, providing Cody Gakpo with his first assist of the night before lobbing a pass to substitute Darwin Nunez for the final goal of the match.

This brought Alexander-Arnold’s tally to five assists in his last two games, having only managed two previously. The game also saw braces from Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah, as well as a consolation goal from Leeds’ Luis Sinisterra.

When asked if Alexander-Arnold is a midfielder or a full-back, manager Jurgen Klopp responded: “Because it’s Trent it’s both. I think the goal for Darwin is an exceptional pass. He can be both but in general, you are right we need to be better protected as well because we concede too many counter-attacks.
“Trent played a really good game but when we lost the ball the reaction was a lot different. All players we must be able to protect and for that the formations suits us much better.“
